I am all for it that Denarius Moore is consider the "Man" on the team between all the receivers, (not putting down Jacoby Ford or Darrius Heyward-Bey). His shown on his rookie year that he has what it takes to be a great receiver and compete at this level. He didn't have the best numbers out of all rookies but we also have to know that he had to fight for a spot and wasn't given to him from the start. He worked hard from the start and the coaches saw that he had great talent and from there he earned a spot to play for a couple of plays during the games. Even though he didn't have as much game time as some of the other receivers, (Heyward-Bey and Ford) he still performed at a very high level, to the point where defencive backs had to make sure where he was at. If you don't believe just ask the the Chargers defencive backs about him and they will tell you the only thing they saw was the numbers on the back of his shirt.

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore's performance during training camp earned the 2011 fifth-round pick a starting role. After catching 33 passes for 618 yards, an 18.7-yard average that ranked fourth among NFL receivers with 30 or more receptions, and five touchdowns in 13 games last season, Moore has surely gained the attention of opposing NFL defensive backs.

"I still don’t look at it any different," Moore said. "I just come out and do the job I’m supposed to do, understand what the coaches want and get my timing down with the quarterback and understand that we have a connection."

"He’s so explosive and can do so many things down the field, but for him to take that next step he needs to get more balls that aren’t deep balls or big posts down the field for touchdowns," quarterback Casrson Palmer said. "He needs to catch slants and curls and digs and things like that. And the way things are lined up he’s the guy.
"He’s our 'X' receiver and I’m excited for him. I know he’s excited about this year and he’s got a lot to prove."
Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain was found guilty of four criminal charges in Decatur, Ala., on Thursday, including assault in the third degree, reckless endangerment, menacing in the state of Alabama and wrongful discharge of a firearm, according to the Decatur Municipal Court clerk.

McClain must serve 45 days in prison for each charge, totaling 180 consecutive days. McClain must also pay a fine of $500, in addition to court costs.

The video showed McClain and his co-defendant, Jarodiaus Willingham, attacking Rishard Tapscott, the alleged victim in the case. Willingham is shown kicking and punching him.

It's a stunning turn of events for a player that looked like a rising star not long ago. McClain will be subject to NFL discipline. Raiders have stood by McClain throughout his ordeal, but clearly must make plans for his absence.

This are very sad news for all the Raider fans because Rolando McClain is one of our best players on defence and now we don't know how many weeks he might get suspended for this incident. Lets just hope that he doesn't get suspended for to long (and no am not trying to justify him), because we know we struggled on run defence, and he at least gave us a little more strenght. One never knows what might happen to him or if his even going to have a job since Reggie McKenzie is getting rid of a lot of players. Lets just hope this is not the case for McClain since his a very good player.

DHB finally had Raider Nation on his side after last season 64 catches for 975 yards and 4 TDs, and wanted to send a message to them Tuesday from Raiders OTAs.
"I just kind of regret bringing bad attention to the team, for the most part," Heyward-Bey said, via the Contra Costa Times. "Want to let the fans know that I'm here, working hard, trying to get on the same page with Carson and looking forward to the season."
Heyward-Bey does not have a history of legal or substance abuse problems, so it's unclear if he'll face a possible suspension from the league. The former No. 7-overall pick was Oakland's leading receiver last year with 975 yards. We'd bet on Denarius Moore and/or Jacoby Ford passing him in production this season.
After everyone messes up they always want to apologize, and Heyward-Bey is not the exception. His apologies weren't the best ones either epecially after he said, "I just kind of regret." What does he mean by "kind of?" He should be completely sorry not kind of sorry. Now that he has competition for the job he wants to be better, (am happy about that don't get me wrong) but he needs to improve his performance this year to keep up with Jacoby Ford and Denarius Moore. This year his going to struggle to keep that starting job, at most I think his going to be a third string receiver behind Ford and Moore. I guess he might be more motivated by this so he might play harder and earn back his starting spot, but his going to have to work really hard after seeing how good Moore and Ford are.
With all this competition going on between the Raiders receivers the only thing that's going to happen is that the Raiders are going to become better and better each day. These are great news for all the Raider fans out there that are waiting for a winning season this season.

On the first day of the Oakland Raiders' OTAs, running back Darren McFadden practiced in full view of the media for the first time since suffering a foot injury last October, and Steve Corkran of the Bay Area News Group reports the 2008 first round pick appeared to do so without limitation

"Darren McFadden looks full go out here. Running, catching, cutting, doing every drill," Corkran observed.
Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer, who has yet to share the field with McFadden in a regular-season game, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that McFadden is a sight to behold.

"That's the hardest thing for me right now is you want to watch him cause he's so electrifying and he can do so many different things," Palmer said. "But I have a job on bootlegs and things like that and I have to make sure I get him the ball and then boot, but getting him on the field is just something the defense has to key on and really focus on and it's been great to work with."

"Explosive home-run hitter on any given down, and those are guys that are tough to deal with because you might bottle them up for a while, but all it takes is one play and he hits a home run and ends up beating you," Dennis Allen told the AP. "So he's an exciting player. He's working hard out here every day to get better, to learn the system, to make sure he knows what to do and how to do it, and make sure he can execute under pressure."

Now that I hear these great news am exited for the new season to start. McFadden is one of my favorite players and one of the most electrifying players in the game, his only downside is not staying healthy for the whole season. Palmer couldn't of said it any better, because I don't want to miss any plays from McFadden either. I mean if you happen to miss one play, that play could end up in a touchdown and you're going to be mad like I am every time I miss a touchdown from him (Which are not a lot).
Everyone notice the difference he makes when his on the field and when his not. The defence if focused on him and there for gives the Quarterback more time to make plays especially on Play Action plays. All I want is to see McFadden play the whole season along side Carson Palmer, Jacoby Ford, Denarius Moore, and Darrius Heyward-Bey. All these player have great speed (eccept Palmer his a trunk...LOL) and at any given time can turn any play into a touchdown play. This is very exiting and all I can say is...GO RAIDERS!!!!!

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey was charged Thursday with drunken driving, the California Highway Patrol told the San Francisco Chronicle.

Heyward-Bey, 25, was cited for alleged drunken driving April 7 after he failed a field sobriety test. A CHP officer pulled over Heyward-Bey after witnessing him speeding and weaving in his lane on the Bay Bridge around 2 a.m. Police described Heyward-Bey as "very cooperative."

Heyward-Bey,  is scheduled to appear in court May 31.

Now after the news of Heyward-Bey being arrested, lets talk about his career and let me tell you is not the best. Last year was his best year so far with 64 catches for 975 yards and 4 touchdowns. Now after showing glimpses of being a descent receiver he goes out and does this mistake. He better get over this and focus on mini-camp work outs because Louis Murphy, Jacoby Ford and Denarius Moore all want starting positions. With all this drama and the fact that Ford and Moore have proven to be very good receivers, to me Heyward-Bey should be a third string receiver behind Moore and Ford. The good things about Heyward-Bey is his healthy most of the time,is not suffering from any injuries, and has improved his performance from year to year. This years he better not slack off and keep improving because am a true Raider fan and I am cheering for him and the whole team. Go Raider Nation!!!!!
